We are thrilled to have received the Bronze level in the Woodland Trust's Green Tree Schools Award! This fantastic achievement celebrates our commitment to nurturing environmental responsibility and a love for nature in our pupils. Through hands-on projects - ranging from tree planting and CO2 reduction to exploring local woodlands - our young learners gain valuable insights into environmental stewardship.

Each activity earns us points and helps pupils understand the vital importance of protecting our planet. This recognition marks an inspiring step forward in our green journey, and we’re excited to grow our eco-initiatives, empowering pupils to make a positive impact on their future and the world around them!

Oakfields has been awarded Millie’s Mark, a special endorsement that highlights our commitment to going above and beyond in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.

This achievement reflects the dedication and expertise of our Early Years staff, who have all completed paediatric first aid training and demonstrated competence and confidence in applying it in practice. Beyond meeting the minimum requirements, Millie’s Mark recognises that we have robust procedures and documentation in place, providing parents with even greater reassurance about their children’s safety.

The festive season is here, and what better way to start than with our incredible Sounds of Harmony choir?

On Monday morning, they filled Upminster Methodist Church with the joy of Christmas songs as part of the Tree Festival!

These events are more than just a chance to spread holiday cheer, they’re a great opportunity for our pupils to build essential life skills like confidence, teamwork, and performance etiquette. Singing in front of a live audience helps them develop their public speaking abilities and resilience, all while sparking their love for music.

A big thank you to parents who came along and the church volunteers for their lovely feedback - it’s a joy to be part of such a meaningful community tradition. And of course, none of this would have been possible without the hard work of Mrs. Wells and Mr. Wade - thank you! 🎄👏

Year 4 student Merv and Year 6 student Leah, made waves at the Nationals last week. Merv gave a standout performance in her leg of the Freestyle Relay, wowing everyone with her speed and perseverance. Meanwhile, Leah shone in the 200m Medley, helping her team secure an impressive Silver Medal with her precision and focus!

A heartfelt thank-you goes to Miss Mercury, whose dedication and support outside of school hours ensured they were ready to excel in this major event.

Congratulations to Leah and Merv on this incredible achievement - we can’t wait to see what’s next for both! 🏊‍♀️🌟

Stunning facilities to learn and grow.

First-time visitors to our school are always impressed by the scale and range of facilities on offer at Oakfields. Set in a Grade II-listed mansion with bright and airy classrooms within seven acres of stunning grounds, our children have the space to learn and grow. The three-acre field in front of the school is used daily during playtimes and is also used for P.E. lessons, including Cross-Country Running, Rugby, Rounders and Athletics.

The school is set in the main house, where many of the impressive historic features remain. It also has a Library and a separate Hall that serves multiple purposes, hosting assemblies, P.E. lessons, and also functions as our dining area.
